Topic: Defined Contribution Employer Reporting Bootcamp (In-person)

Description:
We invite those who are responsible for reporting defined contribution plan information to MERS to join us for a free reporting bootcamp where our staff will provide an in-depth overview on:

• How the MERS Defined Contribution Plan, 457 Program, and Health Care Savings Program work, including provisions offered and where you can locate your municipality’s specific benefit structure so you can see how what you report ultimately impacts your employees’ retirement benefits.
• Some of the common compliance and reporting issues we see when employers submit reports.
• A live demonstration of the Guided Payroll Process (GPP) (you are welcome to bring a laptop with you to follow along in your own Plan Service Center (PSC) portal, but it is not required).

We’ll wrap up the day with a chance to ask questions and chat with your peers. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of the reporting process and how to avoid making errors that could have unintended consequences.
