Description: Alerus, the recordkeeper for MERS’ plans, sent an eblast to all employers with defined contribution and/or 457 plan(s) alerting them that those participants required to take a required minimum distribution in 2024 will be notified by letter in October. The eblast requests that employers review employee statuses in the Employer Portal to ensure affected participants receive the notification.
