Description: An eblast was sent to all employer contacts and anyone who has signed up for legislative alerts on the MERS website. The eblast serves as a notice that, by many accounts, the Michigan legislature intends to introduce legislation regarding both pension and retiree health care benefits for all local units of government before the end of the year. MERS will continue to keep our employers informed as new information becomes available.
