It’s time to report your employees' retirement plan contributions on their W-2s. As with anything involving taxes, it's not always easy to know which boxes to check, and which MERS programs need reporting.
ACME, Mich. — Incumbents Michael Brown and Sally Dreves were re-elected to the Retirement Board Wednesday, at the 67th Annual Meeting of the Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Michigan at Grand Traverse Resort.
The Annual Meeting “invitation list” is expanding this year, with MERS employers, participants, trustees and others encouraged to attend. The Annual Meeting section of our website has expanded right along with it.
Annual actuarial valuations — offering a snapshot of a municipality’s retirement benefits as of Dec. 31 each year — are beginning delivery to MERS Defined Benefit Plan and Hybrid Plan employers. All the reports will be delivered by the end of June (if not sooner). The reports will be emailed to the contact we have on file.
